We use natural urushi (漆), a revered material found in temples, tea houses, and traditional art for over 9,000 years. Hand-applied in layers, it builds a finish of depth, warmth, and subtle sheen.

Material Embedding Technique

Gold-leaf momiji, chiyogami, and natural elements are embedded within the lacquer itself, not merely on the surface. The result is dimensional beauty with visual depth and lasting integrity.

Authentic Japanese Kanagu (金具)

Our tables are finished with genuine kanagu, traditional Japanese metal fittings, often reclaimed or handcrafted in historic workshops. These details lend narrative, age, and character to each piece.
